Wetlands – Home to beautiful Australian Wood Ducks
The state of the art tri-level wetlands, serve both a practical and aesthetic purpose. Designed along the principles of water sensitive urban design to manage stormwater on-site, the one and a half acre site is destined to become a haven for birds, frogs and other aquatic animals.
The addition of thousands of plantings enhances the area’s beautiful natural flora, and provides a space for people and nature to passively interact.
Coorabin Park
Sitting at the most elevated point of the 38 acre site is Coorabin Park boasting in-excess of two acres of spacious reserve and containing dozens of mature eucalypts.
The magnificent trees will not only be retained but will undergo remedial enhancement at the hands of skilled arborists for all to enjoy.
Further to protect this amazing asset there will be another 150 Trees, 100 Understorey Trees & large Shrubs, 200 Medium Shrubs & 187 Small Shrubs planted.
The conservation area will then be protected with bollards and signage will designate the plantings as a “Conservation Zone”.
It will form a WILDLIFE CORRIDOR that will extend down from the 20-acres to the East through the Park and down Coorabin Drive to the signature Tree, to Heron Park and across Springs Rd to the West
What a fantastic chance to create a healthier eco-system for the many birds & animals that call Coorabin their home.
When completed Coorabin Park & Conservation Area will have greater biodiversity enriching the life of all creatures great and small!!
Coorabin Park & conservation Area will combine both Active & Passive recreation opportunities.
